Do not Withdraw Transfer-Out Patrons

To avoid confusing PIMMS, please do not set TO/Transfer Out patron accounts to W/Withdrawn, either from the patron Main tab or using Batch Patron Status Review. Once the patron has been at that status for a year, the record can be deleted or purged at the TO status.

This will bring us into alignment with PIMMS' definition of Withdrawn and prevent syncing errors with these patrons.

We are updating everyone's control files to disallow the TO to W status change, and enable TO records to be deleted. Please let us know if you have any questions.

Bringing this back up with some additional info:

Transferring the patron takes care of their Talking Book Machine and subscriptions, but a Transferred record can still have Items Out. We're looking at adding some processing to clear those out for you, but for now, be sure to mark any Items (duplication cartridges, physical books or serial issues, and non-NLS equipment) still OUT to a patron as LOST before deleting the record.

Once we get processing in place to handle this automatically once a transfer is accepted, T/Transferred can be added to the list of statuses for the "To Purge" query in Batch Patron Status Review. (T/Transferred should already be removed from the "To Withdraw" list--if it is still available for the To Withdraw query in Batch Patron Status Review for your database, please let us know.)
