During the recent KDAC meeting, Keystone reps provided updates on the 7.8.32 and 7.8.33 software releases, highlighting critical security patches for password bypass vulnerabilities and ongoing Keycloak authentication testing. The team discussed hardware and software refinements for the "Mega Scribe" (Name chosen, fight me) project, as well as mobile improvements for WebOPAC and new integration capabilities for SchoolTool and Workday. Members brought up the April 2026 federal accessibility deadline, and Keystone confirmed that they currently meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards and plan to release a blog post to let everyone know they don't need to worry. Additional topics: improving report logic transparency, addressing patron naming conventions for BARD and PIMMS (Institutions vs. Individual users and generating IDs), updates on NLS intelligent barcoding, and future security requirements for server infrastructure that will have to be addressed. Notes attached.
