Bad Code in French Language Title Records

All:

I have been trying to keep up with print editions of the titles available in NLS' collections for languages besides English (I like shoveling water with a rake, too). In trying to export a list of French titles the other day, KLAS would simply not export my query set, no matter what I did. Our fine friends at Keystone found out there were several records with bad code in the title fields (diacritics) so KLAS could not/would not export the set. The titles are:·
  • DBG14721
  • DBF00664
  • DBF04557
  • DBF04560
If you know of others or come across some, please list them in this thread.

Regards,

James

For some reason, I couldn't find the first title. I tried replacing the G with an F just in case, but it didn't come up either way. do you have a title for that one? Everything else came up fine.

Kate:

It might not be in your system. Here is the link to the record on Voyager:

nlscatalog.loc.gov/cgi-bin/Pwebrecon.cgi...15647&CNT=100&HIST=1

If your collection isn't hosted by Keystone, you can upload it into yoru system. If it is, I would have Keystone upload it.

James
