Biographies and Statements submitted by candidates for Secretary of the KLAS Users' Group Nominee: Patrice Johnson, Talking Book Center, Chicago Public Library Biography:Patrice Johnson is currently working as a Readers’ Advisor/First Assistant at the Chicago Public Library Talking Book Center (part of the Illinois State Library Talking Book and Braille Libraries) providing reference and readers’ advisory assistance, creating statewide library reading programs, conducting outreach presentations, creating library related workshops/sessions (in-house and virtual), fostering relationships with sister agencies, providing assistive technology support, editing the quarterly newsletter, training new readers’ advisors and more. She has conducted programs and workshops at ALA Annual and Midwinter Conference, Illinois Library Association Reaching Forward Conference, KLAS Users’ Conference and the Chicago Public Library System All Staff Institution Day.

Being secretary of the KLAS Users' Group is just one of the many ways I can assist our “team”.
