Keystone wishes to recognize the support volunteers and staff provide to their libraries each year. We will do so this year with the Julie Klauber Award. Each library may nominate one staff member or volunteer who works with KLAS in their daily job functions, has shown outstanding service to their library and the community in the spirit of Julie Klauber during his/her time with the library, and will appreciate and benefit from attending the KLAS Users' Conference. The selected Julie Klauber Award Recipient will receive a trip1 to the 2009 KLAS Users' Conference in San Diego, California, April 21-23, 2009. The three finalists will be determined by a selection committee2 and KLAS libraries will vote to determine the winner. Post this one page flyer about the award on your staff bulletin board or in your break room: Julie Klauber Award Nomination Form - Fill out the requested information explaining why this person should be selected and submit it to Keystone by Friday, January 23, 2009. 1 A trip includes one round trip coach ticket on Delta Airlines from the recipient's nearby major city to San Diego, CA; hotel expenses for a single occupancy for April 21-23, Conference registration fees, and meals at the conference provided by Keystone Systems, Inc. If the recipient desires a travel companion, such a person may be accommodated at Kay Holloman's discretion. 2 2009 Julie Klauber Award Committee Members include: - Jane Karp - Florida Bureau of Braille and Talking Book Library Services
- John Mugford - New Mexico LBPH
- Laurel Day - Idaho Talking Book Library
