Responses from the National Library Service to questions posed at the 2008 KLAS Users' Conference: - TBT/BBR information from last year(s) gave impression that the transition would begin to occur in mid April/May of 2008. Now that things are going to happen later in the year there has been no notification in TBT/BBR of this. NLS should inform readers of new target dates for transition implementation.
NLS RESPONSE: TBT/BBR continue to include information provided in issues of FLASH. These messages do indicate changes in the timeline. - Will NLS accept a download as indication of active patron status?
NLS RESPONSE: Yes.
- Will NLS provide 856 tag with PICS information? (Bibliographic Control Section)
NLS RESPONSE: Possibly. - Will NLS accept a link with cooperative cataloging? If accepted, will it be included in Voyager? (Bibliographic Control Section)
NLS RESPONSE: No.
- Can KLAS and NLS collaborate on a process so that there is not a need for a secondary sign-on log in to get to audio or Braille downloads?
NLS RESPONSE: No.
