We are pleased to announce the general release of KLAS 7.4r1.  This release was debuted at the 2009 KLAS Users Conference in San Diego.  Over the past several weeks, we've been working with the digital test site libraries to adjust the programs, and now this version is ready for everyone.

The highlights of the release are posted on the Release Lists page.  Users should also consult the release lists for 7.3r3a and 7.3r3b, as these features will be included in the update to 7.4r1.

Some of these highlights include:

• Title Linking - to show that a HasHad in one medium equals a HasHad in another.
• Expansion of options for Catalogue and Patron Query
• Searching - speed up the Begins search, adjust All Indexes search on WebOPAC

This upgrade is a major release, and as such will require that the current version of KLAS be uninstalled, and the new version installed.  Most libraries will need to arrange for an IT department's assistance with this.
