  • How do I log-in or sign-on?

    1. Select the "Sign On" option in the upper right hand corner of the page.
    2. Type in the email address and password provided to you in the registration email.
    3. Uncheck the "Stay Signed In" box if you do not want to stay logged-in to the Top Ten Website after you leave the page.
    4. Select the "Sign On" button.

  • How do I post a new idea?

    1. Go to the "Got feedback for how to improve KLAS" section on the the front page of klas.ideascale.com.
    2. Type your idea into the provided box.
    3. Select "Submit New Idea".
    4. A window called "Submit your Idea" will open.  Here you will need to complete the following fields:
      • Title = Title of your idea in less than 64 characters.
      • Description = Your idea.
      • Category = The module of KLAS to which your idea corresponds.
    5. Tags (optional) = One word descriptions separated by a comma of your idea which become part of a navigational tag cloud on the front page.  (Example: RSQueue,WebOPAC, etc.)
    6. Select the "Submit" button.

  • How do I rate / rank a new idea?

    1. You will receive 25 chips which you can use to vote for submitted ideas.
    2. To place your chips/votes on for an idea, go to the idea page and select "Manage Chips" to the left of the idea description.
    3. A new window will open.  Select the number of chips/votes (1, 5, 10, All of them) you wish to give the idea.
    4. The number of chips/votes you have left will appear to the right.
    5. You can also take back chips from other ideas in this window.
    6. After you have allocated your chips as desired, select "Save".

  • How do I edit my profile?

    1. After you have successfully signed on, navigate to your name in the upper-right corner of your browser window.
    2. When you select your name, a drop-down menu will open.
    3. Select "Profile".
    4. Go the "KLAS Top Ten Profile" section in the bottom half of the page.
    5. Here, you can edit your Display Name, email, and avatar.

  • How do I set automatic notifications for new ideas?

    1. After you have successfully signed on, navigate to your name in the upper-right corner of your browser window.
    2. When you select your name, a drop-down menu will open.
    3. Select "Notifications".
    4. Go to the "KLAS Top Ten" section int he bottom third of the page.
    5. Verify that "Custom Notification" is selected from the "Notification Type" drop-down menu.
    6. In the "Email Address" field verify that the email address where you would like to receive notifications of new ideas is displayed.
    7. From the "New Ideas" down-menu select one the following three options:
      • Disabled = You will not received notifications of newly posted ideas in your email.  You will have to go to klas.ideascale.com to view any new ideas posted since your last visit.
      • New Ideas in Daily-Digest = You will receive a daily email of newly posted ideas.
      • New Ideas in Weekly Digest = You will received a weekly email notifying you of any new ideas.
    8. Select the "Save Changes" button.

  • How do I find recently posted ideas?

    1. Navigate to the "Browse Popular Ideas" section in the middle of the front page ofklas.ideascale.com.
    2. Select the "Recent Ideas" tab.
    3. A list of the most recently posted ideas will appear.
    4. Selecting the title of an idea will take you to that idea where you can comment on it, add tags, rate it, add chips/votes to it, etc.

  • How do I comment on a new idea?

    1. After selecting "Browse Popular Ideas", a list of the most recently posted ideas will appear.
    2. You can comment on a single idea by selecting the "Add your comment" button under the idea.
    3. This will take you to the idea where you can type your comment into the "Comments" field.
    4. Select "Submit Comment".

  • How do I edit an idea I previously posted?

    1. Use the "Categories" menu to select the Category of the idea you previously posted.
    2. Navigate to the idea you wish to edit from the list of submitted ideas in that category.
    3. Selecting the title of an idea will take you to that idea.
    4. Select the "Edit" button under the idea title to the right of the Twitter, Facebook, Email, and Follow options.
    5. The "Submit your idea" window will open.  
    6. Make any needed edits.
    7. Select "Submit".
